The University Grants Commission (UGC) screens the right candidate for Lectureship in Indian colleges and universities and Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) on the basis of an eligibility test named “UGC – National Eligibility Test(NET)”. Age-limit

For Junior Research Fellowship the age limit is not more than 28 years. A 5 yrs relaxation is provided to the SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and women candidates.
